Vachel Lindsay Association 2004 Meeting
November 7, 2004
These pictures, unless noted otherwise, were taken by Job Conger and presented at this
site for the education and entertainment of his growing list of fans who believe that as
long as he's not asking for money, this site is worth a visit. The pictures are
thumbnailed for faster loading. Clicking on any will produce a larger image, about 4 x 6
inches at 72 dpi resolution. Feel free to copy any you like. If you'd like a larger image
with better resolution and don't mind me asking for the M-word (my hot stud days are
behind me, I'm afraid) e me -- writer@eosinc.com
Please mention the number of the pic, what size and resolution you want, and I'll respond
with cost for prints either emailed back to you or sent first class on heavy glossy paper
stock.

1. Classical guitarist Russel Brazzel played a concert-quality serenade as background
music during the meeting was called to order. An hour later he introduced Nashville-based
classical guitarist John Johns at a Springfield Classical Guitar Society concert at nearby
First Presbyterian Church.

2. Left to right: Nicholas Cave Lindsay, his wife DeBose, Catharine Blair (daughter of
Vachel's sister Joy) and Nick Lindsay, Jr. at the family table. There seemed to be a mixed
message in their sitting apart from their friends at the other tables.
|

3. Nicholas Cave Lindsay (who prefers being called Nick), DeBose amd Catharine.
Part of that mixed message said "Leave the family alone becuase they prefer their own
table." another part of that mixed message said: "Springfieldians with any sense
of decorum and propriety will do well not to ask if they would like some local company at
their table."

|

23. These two statuesque beacons of erudition pose as they harvest the table settings at
evening's conclusion. If someone who knows their names will freshen my waning mind, I will
be happy to share their names here.
|

24. And fine table settings they were; tastefully fall-like in keeping with the time of
the season.
