(5) Blue Angel
Aircraft #5 landed in trouble during Springfield Air Rendezvous 2001. The nose gear strut allegedly penetrated the cockpit, but did not injure the pilot. It was repaired over the course of several weeks in the 183rd Ftr. Wing hangar and was flown directly to the boneyard at D-MAFB.

    (19) This IL ArNG Sikorsky UH-60 flew in July 2, 2003 and was the first military aircraft to be refueled by First Class Air. The sky is typical for Springfield, Illinois during the summer.

    (20) The same UH-60 when a cloud came between the sun and the ramp. The change in light was so brief, most people outside on the ramp will probably claim not to have noticed it.

    (21) Seldom seen or photographed in daylight, this "stretched" UH-60 was ordered into production by the current commandrake in cheef who is known for stretching truth winkwink.

    22) The nose fantastic. It's hard to imagine brave men fighting at 28,000 feet from the front end of a B-17 like this, but my xperience   during a "Texas Raiders" flight drove home a heap of humility to this lucky photographer.
